fps here to stay or fad?

okay we all know the most popular series in gaming right now is first person shooters but the question is how long is it going to stay like that? what do you guys think, please leave a commit. as foe me i'll give it 10 years at most

The only FPS I like is Halo 3, and that's only because the Multiplayer is done really well in my opinion.

I like Fps games but I think there should be less of them. Result of over popularity for a genre ends up in games like Haze being made.

yes, yes it was. I would call it Halo's Bast*rd child but as a Ps3 refrence. It's Kilzones Bast*rd child.

I just wish they weren't all the same things. Find me a FPS (other than CoD4) that doesn't feature WWII or aliens and I'll eat my hat.

Show me a RPG with out manga or monsters. You can do that without any other game type. really that does not matter. IDK if they are about si fi or war. as long as they are fun.

I don't like RPG's...tried Final Fantasy and Super Mario RPG, and I didnt really get it. I could only understand Pokemon, for obvious reasons. It was the only RPG that made sense to me.

That's like asking for an FPS without guns.

How about Super Noah's Ark 3D? That had a slingshot, technically not a gun.

Well, since FPS stands for first person shooter, I think they would all have to contain some sort of firearm.

I don't even like most RPGs, I was just saying all RPGs have monsters, and all FPSes have guns or some type of projectile.

I wasn't tryin' to prove any point........

I think all the 2D shooters tuned into 3D FPS. You need 3D or Kinda 3D gfx to make a FPS.

I wish there was no fps fad because rpgs fad would be better
